Winterfest at the MNGR

Over the years various names have been used for the Christmas displays at the MNGR and during the time these pics were taken it was called Winterfest because one of the sponsors thought Santa Clause was to much of a religious reference, yet he was allowed to figure prominently in it. I know, I can't figure it out either.

Kettle	Any small steam locomotive, especially an old, leaky one. Also called teakettle or coffeepot. Small and older locomotives were used for switching, where the steam boiler was often more efficient than it needed to be. This caused the safety valve to vent frequently, like a teakettle.
